At
present the tech giant doesn`t have the hardware needed to evolve raw data for
new app. Apple`s so-called iWatch reportedly to serve as the solution for data
generation. This device is capable of offloading data such as blood oximeter,
thermometer, etc. via Bluetooth via iPhone, refined and recorded. iWatch and
iPhone are said to be heavily reliant on each other for tracking health. The
iWatch will be enabled with mapping abilities.
Pouring
oil to the flame of rumors the tech giant`s executives including Vice President
of Software Technology Budd Tribble and Senior Vice President of Operations
Jeff Williams had a meeting with the Food and Drug Administration. The issue of
“mobile medical applications” was on the agenda.
According
to the New York Times quoting unnamed sources Apple`s vice president of
technology Kevin Lynch is developing software for iWatch whereas Bob Mansfiedl,
SVP of Technology is making attempts to add health-related tech to the iPhone. Also
Apple has reportedly made some essential hires. The company hasn`t answered to
a request to comment on the issue. The long-rumored product reportedly to
appear by the end of 2014.
Who
knows may be in the nearest future iPhone will be popular not only for its
numerous advantages including high-end local and international calls, but
as a one-stop solution for mobile health tracking and fitness monitoring needs.
